Community & Farm Projects
On the ground community engagement is one of the cornerstones of SVF. During the high season (late July- mid October), our young adult work crew brings a harvest of fresh produce to the Strafford Senior Lunch. This fresh produce is offered free of charge to our local seniors who attend Senior Lunch but also those that are unable to attend. This offers a chance for young and old to engage, provides an opportunity to get fresh food out and about, and creates important community-strengthening connections.

WORKING FAMILY FARM SHARES
For the 2020 season, SVF would like to offer a few discounted shares to local working families who might otherwise not sign up for a CSA share. If you would like to contribute, please click
NEWTON SCHOOL COMPOST
Newton School food waste has been coming to SVF to be composted on site for a few years. Local resident and compost expert, Cat Buxton, with the help of several grants, has been able to help us manage the compost pile as well as run a few on-farm composting workshops focused on farm-to-school and institutional compost projects.
